Green Day Out 2012
The Green Day Out of Gold Coast is an award-winning environment-based community event that aims at raising awareness of environment protection & sustainability and safety among the public. Started as an initiative by the Gold Coast hinterland environment council, the Green Day Out is an internationally renowned event held at the amazing Kurrawa Parklands near the pulsating Broadbeach area of the Gold Coast.
The Green Day Out welcomes many guests and environmentalists to this amazing setting to celebrate nature and enjoy an array of activities.

After running successfully for a decade, this unique environmental festival attracts thousands of visitors from all parts of the nation and the world. While promoting the various environmental-friendly actions and lifestyle, the Green Day Out also educates its guests about various safety protections and eco-friendly lifestyle.
The event is a real family gathering boasting an array of educational programs, environmental workshops, kid-friendly activities and various other entertainment options as well. The popular eco-fashion parade and the organic farmer’s market are also some of the major highlights.
Kids can enjoy face painting and indulge in an array of games including racing, workshops, painting and quiz competitions, with kid-friendly workshops also found at the festival. Visitors will surely love the diverse range of stalls selling local produces, crafts and souvenirs apart from the regular food and drink stalls. Other activities include film screening competitions and petting zoo especially for the little ones.
The event doesn’t require any admission fees; so bring your entire family and enjoy a family day out at this amazing event. Those driving to the event venue can also show their support for environment protection by leaving their car at home and taking the public transport instead.
