2010 Kokoda Challenge Race Gold Coast

Organise your Gold Coast Kokoda Challenge accommodation for your stay on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
The Kokoda Challenge is a cross-country bush walking event, where teams of four people hike through a 96 kilometre course along the Gold Coast Hinterland within a 39 hour time limit.
The event was designed to reflect the key elements of the Kokoda Spirit - with 96 kilometres representing the actual distance of the Kokoda Trail, with the 39 hours signifying the 39th Militia Regiment, who were the first of the Australian troops to arrive at Kokoda on 15th July 1942.
The four person teams are required to proceed through 14 checkpoints to the finish line. At the designated checkpoints, teams are able to take a short break and regroup with the help of their support crew.
The Kokoda Challenge route is full of rugged, rocky terrain and climbs totalling over 5000 metres. There is no doubt that those who take up the Kokoda Challenge, will need to call on the ANZAC spirit that was born in Gallipoli and held fast in Kokoda - endurance, sacrifice, courage and mateship.
All funds that are raised, go to the Kokoda Challenge Youth Program. This is a life changing experience that will never be forgotten!
