The Griffith University Paradise Regatta is destined to become Queensland's version of the famous Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race, with the race being contested by crews from Griffith University and the University of Queensland.
Schools, corporates, universities and countries (Australia and New Zealand) will race off in Rowing 8s and Dragon Boats. It has quickly become one of the Gold Coast's favourite new events on the social calendar. Spectators come to enjoy the marquees, premium food and beverages, live jazz music and live racing on the big screen.
It is hoped the Griffith University Paradise regatta will become a major annual event on the Gold Coast calendar.
