Q1 Gold Coast

Q1

Q1 or Queensland’s number one Building, is an amazing and outstanding landmark in the Surfers Paradise area of the Gold Coast. As the third tallest residential tower, the Q1 Building is a highly visited spot in the Gold Coast.

On 29th April 2011, the building got the world’s formal recognition as the third tallest residential building after the Marina Torch of Dubai won the title.

Q1 Building QLD

This super-tall skyscraper in Surfers Paradise is truly an iconic landmark in this city. In Australia, it is the second tallest building (only behind the Eureka Tower in Melbourne).

The Q1 building opened in the year 2005 and during the Queensland’s 150th birthday celebration, this iconic structure got voted as the most recognisable landmark.

Designed by the architect Atelier SDG, this building boasts a unique and outstanding infrastructure and exteriors. The building shape and design was actually inspired by the design from Sydney Opera House and Sydney 2000 Olympic Torch.

The building also houses an observation deck known as Skypoint on the 77th and 78th floor, where guests will get a panoramic and broader view of the entire Surfers Paradise and the Gold Coast Hinterland.

Today, the Skypoint Observation Deck has become a popular tourist attraction in the Gold Coast and is the sole beachside observation deck in Australia, offering enough space to accommodate up to 400 people.

Get an amazing view from 230 metres above the sea level and watch the azure beach of Gold Coast and the gorgeous Byron Bay from the Skypoint deck at this iconic Q1 building in the Gold Coast.
